REBECCA BELIEVES IN ACCOUNTABILITY RESILIENCE INNOVATION

Rebecca Powers has served the people of Harrison County as their District Two Supervisor (Board President) since 2020.

IMPACTFUL CHANGE

As a journalist, Rebecca gained first-hand knowledge of the issues impacting our community and what matters most to our residents. A strong advocate for mental health and children’s rights, Rebecca is a watchdog protecting those who are most vulnerable. During her first term representing District Two, Rebecca continued this passion by creating Friends of the Court (Now being studied by other county judges across the state who want FOC’s in their courtrooms).

In her first three years in office, Rebecca’s fiscal management style identified and saved taxpayers millions of dollars. She and her staff paved more roads in three years than in the past decade! She created the Harrison County Advocacy Center, an outdoor 4H program for children, the largest Dog Park in Mississippi, and helped improve the forensic interview process of abused children
